To mark the upcoming United Nations’ Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) will be hosting a free, public symposium on Wednesday, March 25. See our Facebook page for this event here.
The event will showcase two discussions paneled by illustrious guest speakers who will tackle issues of race and racism. Professor Ali Abdi, Head of the Department of Educational Studies at the University of British Columbia will deliver the keynote alongside Dr. Charles Quist-Adade. Another panel will feature Harsha Walia, Vancouver-based social justice activist, community organizer, acclaimed writer, and co-founder of the Vancouver chapter of No One is Illegal (NOII), and Daniel Tseghay, Vancouver-based activist and writer.
Admission is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided!
